Michael Garcia
Resort General Manager

At age twenty Michael transferred from the University of Puerto Rico to the University of Nebraska located in Omaha, Nebraska.   Michael began his career in the hospitality industry working for the Crowne Plaza Hotel as an accounts payable clerk.  Since then Michael has worked for a number of well known hospitality brands like Hilton, Double Tree, and Marriott, broadening his work experience along the way in both the operations and finance fields.  Administratively, he has been both an assistant controller and controller and has held other management positions in the front desk, food and beverage, and housekeeping departments, eventually becoming an Assistant General Manager at both the Hilton and Hilton Gardens Hotels in Omaha.   Michael started as the General Manager at Club Cala in September 2007.  Along with providing exceptional customer service he maintains an open door policy for both employees and guests alike.

Elizabeth Torres
Front Office Manager

Elizabeth joined the accounting department with the Club Cala team in October of 2006 as a part-time accounting clerk. Quickly, she made herself readily available to assist any department while always maintaining a “I CAN HELP YOU” attitude.  Although, hired as the accounting clerk, she took it upon herself to learn the entire front desk operation.  By virtue of her enthusiastic “Can Do” personally Elizabeth has earned the respect of all of her peers. The greatest thing about Elizabeth is that she has the ability to view challenges as great opportunities. Her hard work ethic and vast peer support has made her the perfect choice to take on the challenging position of Front Office Manager.

Vernon Purcell
Director of Resort Operations, Puerto Rico

Vernon Purcell is the Director of Resort Operations in Puerto Rico, Vernon arrived in Puerto Rico in August of, 2005, as The General Manager of Club Cala, Vernon first order of duties were to oversee the resorts transition and to spearhead the refurbishment project.

As additional projects came online, Vernon was promoted to the position of Director of Resort Operations. In this capacity Vernon will oversee the entire management operation of all the properties in Puerto Rico. Through out Vernon 20 years in the Timeshare industry, Vernon has Worked for Fairfields Resorts, RCI Management and TriCom Management,
Vernon has worked in every department and nearly every position at the resort level, Vernon has also been awarded the Silver medal from ARDA (American Resorts Developers Associations) for his achievements and commitment.
Vernon has also completed all courses required by CAI (Community Association Institute)

Vernon Is committed to getting The New Club Cala, the luster it once had.
